Kevin Devenney

Experience

Kevin joined Grant Thornton in 2014, having previously worked for a Big Four firm. He specialises in the provision of Indirect Tax services to domestic and multinational organisations.

Sector experience

Kevin has more than 15 years’ experience delivering advice to clients on complex Indirect Tax matters, particularly in the areas of property, financial services and assisting multinationals meet their multi-jurisdictional obligations. He regularly represents businesses interacting with the Irish tax authorities and facilitates the resolution of tax audits and disputes.

Kevin also has experience advising various clients with restricted VAT recovery on the VAT treatment of their supplies, VAT processes - procedures and maximising their VAT recovery position.

Presentations and publications

Kevin was previously co-author of VAT on Property, the leading text on Irish VAT on Property, published by the Irish Taxation Institute.

He frequently presents on VAT matters to both industry and professional bodies, published various articles on VAT and has contributed to the delivery of the Tax Institute’s Indirect Tax education programme.

  • Bachelor of Finance & Economics from Maynooth University
  • Member of the Indirect Tax Subcommittee of the Irish Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC)
