John joined Grant Thornton in 2022 having previously worked at AIB’s Corporate Banking Division. His recent experience includes various corporate finance assignments, including debt advisory/fundraisings, transaction advisory/diligence services and independent business reviews.
Sector experience
John advises a diverse client base, both in Ireland and internationally, including large corporates, owner-managed organisations and financial institutions.
John’s recent experience includes;
- Debt advisory services to the Moran Group on commercial real estate finance;
- St. Vincent’s Private Hospital on a refinance of their bank facilities;
- Advice to the Address Collective Group on development finance and a refinance of their bank facilities;
- A number of restructuring assignments for Irish and international banks;
- Buy side advisory and diligence services to Culligan International;
- Due diligence services to Apleona on its acquisition of Neylons Facilities Management;
- Buy side advisory and diligence services to Keensight Capital on its investment in SoftCo Group;
- Vendor due diligence services for Murphy Geospatial on their sale to Woolpert Inc;
- Due diligence services to Poolbeg Pharma.
Qualifications
- Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA)
- Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics from Dublin City University (DCU)
- Diploma in Corporate Banking, Institute of Bankers
