John Shanahan

John joined Grant Thornton in 2022 having previously worked at AIB’s Corporate Banking Division. His recent experience includes various corporate finance assignments, including debt advisory/fundraisings, transaction advisory/diligence services and independent business reviews.

John advises a diverse client base, both in Ireland and internationally, including large corporates, owner-managed organisations and financial institutions.

John’s recent experience includes;

• Debt advisory services to the Moran Group on commercial real estate finance;
• St. Vincent’s Private Hospital on a refinance of their bank facilities;
• Advice to the Address Collective Group on development finance and a refinance of their bank facilities;
• A number of restructuring assignments for Irish and international banks;
• Buy side advisory and diligence services to Culligan International;
• Due diligence services to Apleona on its acquisition of Neylons Facilities Management;
• Buy side advisory and diligence services to Keensight Capital on its investment in SoftCo Group;
• Vendor due diligence services for Murphy Geospatial on their sale to Woolpert Inc;
• Due diligence services to Poolbeg Pharma.
