Brian has over 15 years of financial services project and change management experience accumulated over his banking and advisory career to date. He has held leadership roles across several significant pillar bank strategic programmes over recent years. His expertise includes Banking SME knowledge, governance structures, project delivery and programme management.
Brian is an ACA, QFA and Prince2 certified programme manager with a broad range of sectoral experience. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2002, he moved to Financial Services, spending 12 years with ACCBank, part of the Rabobank Group. He worked as a Lending Manager before transferring to recovery where he became Head of the Re-Structure and Special Asset Management Unit. He led out on key programmes as the bank looked to streamline its portfolio management approach.
Brian joined Grant Thornton in 2016, forming part of a management team tasked with addressing the NPE position of one of Ireland’s key pillar banks. He led out on key large programmes as part of the bank’s management of their mortgage book.
Separately, he has successfully enabled and advised on a key strategic NPL loan sale transaction for a retail bank. He has also successfully led programmes of work involving complaints management and behavioural change
