The results of the Grant Thornton Retail Excellence Retail Productivity Review for Q4 saw another challenging quarter for the retail industry. Many retailers struggled due to the closure of retail stores under Government restrictions. As a result we saw a massive jump in online sales once again. On a positive note, the stand out performers for the quarter have been the grocery, house hold appliance retailers, consumer electronic retailers and agri retailers who experienced increased demand over the period, highlighting an increased spend on household goods in the quarter.
