Amanda Ward and Brian O’Sullivan announced as new Grant Thornton Ireland Partners
Professional services firm, Grant Thornton continues its commitment to servicing client’s demands by announcing two new partners to respond to growth in client needs. The appointments, which comprise of one internal promotion and one external hire, reflect the significant and continued growth experienced by Grant Thornton Ireland over the past ten years. The company currently employees over 1,450 people in seven offices across Ireland.
Amanda Ward has been appointed as a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services Advisory unit. Amanda has over 16 years industry and professional services experience, leading multidiscipline teams and large-scale business transformation programmes in Financial Services. Prior to joining Grant Thornton Amanda spent eight years with an International Bank where she was Chief Operating Officer, and another eight years with a Big Four firm providing advisory and audit services with a particular focus on finance transformation and effectiveness programmes.
Brian O’Sullivan has been promoted internally to Partner, having spent his recent years contributing heavily to the continued growth of our Financial Services Audit department, specialising in banking and asset management. Brian will be part of an exciting new joint initiative between the Grant Thornton US and Irish firms, whereby when the current travel restrictions permit then Brian will be based in New York and will operate across the Grant Thornton US Audit and Advisory teams, further strengthening and developing international relationships and reach for the Irish firm. Brian re-joined the firm as a Director in 2018 having begun his early career with Grant Thornton Ireland before spending a number of years working with a Big Four firm and local pillar bank.
