David is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience in Deal Advisory. David has particular experience advising in all areas of M&A, both in Ireland and internationally, along with expertise in debt advisory, corporate restructures and MBOs. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, David spent over 10 years in commercial property lending with a leading financial institution.

Sector Experience

David has extensive sector experience across agri-food, TMT, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, retail and business services.

A selection of David’s experience includes:

Buy side advice to Keelings on multiple international and domestic acquisitions;
Lead advisor to Lift Rite on the sale to Amplex AB. Lift Rite is a leading supplier of lifting equipment and material handling solutions;
Buy side advice to Apleona GmbH on the acquisition of Acacia Facilities Management. Apleona is one of the largest facilities management groups in Europe;
Lead advisor to Rose Confectionery on the sale to Melior Equity Partners. Rose is a leading licenced distributor of confectionery in Ireland and the UK;
Lead advisor to Harold Engineering on the sale to Switch Limited. Harold is a market leader in air compressors;
Advice to Perennial Freight management on the successful MBO;
Lead advisor on the sale of a group of Supervalu supermarkets; and
Debt advice for Monaghan Mushrooms, Masterlink and Buttimer Engineering.
