Experience:

Christopher is an Authorised Personal Insolvency Practitioner (PIP) and Chartered Accountant (ACA) in Grant Thornton’s Transaction Advisory Services team, specialising in personal insolvency. He advises individuals and stakeholders in distressed situations, supporting the development and implementation of structured debt resolution strategies. His work includes assessing financial positions, engaging with creditors and delivering solutions through formal insolvency frameworks, including Personal Insolvency Arrangements (PIAs), Debt Settlement Arrangements (DSAs) and bankruptcy.

Christopher has experience across the full lifecycle of personal insolvency engagements, from initial assessment through to negotiation, court approval and implementation. He works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including lenders and financial institutions, with a focus on achieving practical, sustainable outcomes in complex and often sensitive situations. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2022, Christopher held roles in financial services where he gained experience in operations, research and governance, including acting as Company Secretary.

Sector Experience:

Christopher has experience advising across personal insolvency and the broader financial services sector. He has worked on a wide range of personal insolvency cases involving individuals in complex financial circumstances, requiring detailed financial analysis, creditor engagement and the delivery of tailored restructuring solutions. He regularly supports engagements involving stakeholder negotiation and debt resolution across consumer lending environments, with a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and practical challenges associated with unsustainable debt. His experience includes working with lenders, servicing firms and other stakeholders to deliver structured and outcome-focused solutions.
