Earnings, hours and employment costs survey (EHECS)

The purpose of the EHECS is to monitor the change in Labour Costs in Ireland and across the European Union. This satisfies the emerging Labour Cost Index Regulation and Job Vacancy requirement.

Are you an enterprise with an employment number of 50 or more? Then you have a statutory obligation to complete the quarterly EHECS for the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Enterprises with an employment number of <50 are sampled for a number of quarters. Samplings are usually five quarters depending on their industrial activity category.

We facilitate the lodgement of statistical files or text to the appropriate CSO survey area for you.

Contact the payroll department in Grant Thornton to set-up, maintain and upload the EHECS to CSO through the Secure Deposit Box on your behalf.
