Minister Donohoe’s first budget will be published on 10 October 2017. With both tax receipts and sterling exchange rates showing some volatility, it’s difficult to predict the level of tax cuts that we’ll see next month.

We are also expecting a more detailed Finance Bill this year, some of the detail of which will be announced on Budget Day.

Grant Thornton in conjunction with Shannon Chamber is delighted to invite you to join us the following morning when Billy McMahon, Tax Director will address the effects the budget will have on you and your business, while our guest speaker Professor Sheila Killian, will present an overview of the impact on the wider economy.

Billy McMahon is a Tax Director in the Grant Thornton Limerick office. Billy is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. He has extensive experience in Irish and international tax matters and has advised a wide range of clients, including major Irish companies and multinational groups, on all aspects of corporate and business taxation.

Professor Sheila Killian is the Assistant Dean, Research at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed papers on taxation, finance, accountability and social responsibility, and is a regular commentator on tax issues on RTE.

This year Grant Thornton is again linking up with Newstalk to provide live commentary and assessment as Minister Donohoe speaks from the Dail and provide further analysis the following morning on Vincent Wall’s Business Breakfast from 6.30am.

Join us for live commentary on Budget 2018 on the 10 October at #GrantThorntonIE.
