We are delighted to sponsor Ireland’s largest annual conference for project managers “Project Management Institute’s (PMI) national conference” which will be held in Cork on Thursday 28 February.

We are proud to announce that Grant Thornton’s speaker at the event will be Jim Snyder, who is often referred to as the "Father of PMI". Mr. Snyder is a founder of the Project Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute, a past Volunteer Executive Director, President and Chairman of the Board. He served as the project manager for the construction of PMI's World Headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, USA. The PMI James R. Snyder Center for Project Management Knowledge and Wisdom, located in the headquarters building, is named in his honor. He has been awarded the PMI Man of the Year Award and is an Honorary Life Member of the Institute.

Speaking about Grant Thornton’s sponsorship of the event the firm’s Head of Business Consulting Elaine Daly had this to say: “Mr. Snyder’s reputation and skill in the area of project of management is un-matched and we are delighted to have him as our speaker at the upcoming conference. Project Management is a key service line for our firm and one where we see huge prospects for growth”.
