Leading professional services firm Grant Thornton has announced the creation of 250 new jobs across all areas of its business operations in Ireland. A significant number of the new posts will be in its Centre of Excellence, which was launched today by Eoghan Murphy T.D., Minister of State for Financial Services. The Centre of Excellence provides a new framework for the delivery of global compliance and reporting services, from its base in Ireland. Organisations with financial reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions will now be able to avail of specialist international expertise delivered by Grant Thornton’s Dublin-based team, e.g. for the preparation of bilingual local GAAP Financial Statements.
“The Centre of Excellence was established in response to business needs as organisations look to reduce risk across their compliance functions. The Centre of Excellence is an example of the unique service offerings that have made Grant Thornton Ireland’s fastest growing professional services firm in recent years. To meet increased demand from clients, the firm is now looking to recruit experienced professionals for its Centre of Excellence team, as well as across its tax, audit and advisory departments.
Paul McCann, Grant Thornton National Managing Partner, said: “We are very pleased to announce this significant increase in our headcount with the official opening of the Centre of Excellence.
