Niall Martin

Experience

Niall joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and has over 12 years’ experience in the multi-national environment having worked on site with clients for the majority of that time.

He was promoted to Director in the FAAS department in February 2017. The FAAS department offer multi-disciplinary skills to our multi-nationals clients and deals with complex accounting related issues by managing financial projects in a practical way.

He began his professional services career in a mid-sized accountancy practice, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. His experience included financial audits, his preparation of accounts and tax returns.

Sector experience

Niall has significant experience with a range of large multinationals and has acted as engagement director on a number of large compliance projects which involve coordinating numerous Grant Thornton offices worldwide.

He has extensive EMEA finance coordination and transition management experience with a number of large multinational groups across a range of sectors and locations.

Niall also has experience of the provision and co-ordination of Global Compliance and Reporting requirements for large multi-national organisations

He has significant project management experience from within multi-national organisation from the initial scoping stages right through to “Go-Live” and project closure.

Qualifications
  • Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI)
  • Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the University of Limerick (UL)
  • Diploma in Project Management from the Institute of Project Management Ireland
  • Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
