Marie is head of internal audit and leads on our co-sourced, outsourced and quality assurance offering, supporting existing internal audit functions with the delivery of their internal audit plan through the provision of experienced internal audit practitioners and subject matter experts. As part of the outsourced offering, Marie is responsible for the development and delivery of risk based internal audit plans, subsequent Board reporting and was appointed to a PCF-13 head of internal audit role for a regulated client in the financial services sector.
Marie works with clients across banking, insurance, asset management and payments. She is also the engagement lead for our quality assurance service line and has delivered external quality assessments and quality assurance reviews across the financial services sector in recent years.
Marie provides internal audit services to over 230 pension schemes which include defined benefit, defined contribution and master trust structures.
Marie joined the firm in 2009 where she trained as a chartered accountant in the financial services audit department. In 2014, Marie left Grant Thornton for a role in the internal audit function of Irish Life Assurance PLC where she worked as a risk & assurance specialist, internal audit assistant manager and internal audit manager.
