Shona O'Hea

Shona is an Advisory partner and the head of Asset Management for Grant Thornton. She works with the firm’s international community of Asset Management professionals to identify trends and challenges facing the industry and create solutions to support our clients’ needs. Her clients include asset and wealth managers as well as asset servicers.

In addition to her leadership role in Asset Management across the U.S., Ireland, and internationally, Shona brings a well-established and comprehensive perspective on the financial services industry. With more than 20 years of experience spanning industry, regulation and professional services, her background includes an 18-month secondment to the Central Bank of Ireland’s Consumer Protection Division and eight years with a U.S. global asset servicing institution.

Based in Ireland, she collaborates with clients to deliver global solutions across their finance functions and financial operations, including financial reporting and accounting, compliance activities and finance systems and processes. Her knowledge spans project-based engagements, expertise led advisory and fully managed solutions designed to enhance and improve clients’ in-house teams.

Shona has led projects across the financial services sector, including asset management, banking, insurance, and payment service providers. She specializes in centrally delivered, global outsourced accounting, reporting and process improvement engagements.
