The Grant Thornton all-island Brexit Advisory Team is able to bring a unique dual perspective to the Brexit issue. Team members service clients on both sides of the border and are able to deliver solutions which address the concerns and difficulties faced by all parties affected by Brexit.

In others, the uncertainty surrounding Brexit is affecting customer confidence and investment decisions while in others still, organisations may have to deal with issues of EU citizen employees no longer being able to travel freely to and from the UK.

We are assisting clients to deal with the uncertainty and disruption caused by Brexit in a variety of ways. We help them identify the key areas most likely to be affected and put in place contingency plans to deal with the various eventualities which may arise either through a full Brexit audit or through our Brexit Room service.

A full Brexit audit involves a comprehensive review of all aspects of a client’s activities to identify every area which might be impacted by any shade of Brexit. The audit also evaluates the extent of any potential impacts and results in detailed recommendations for mitigation measures to be put in place both in advance of Brexit as well as after the event, depending on what form it takes.

The Brexit Room is a unique service offered by Grant Thornton. It involves a one-day workshop session for a client during which they complete a Brexit questionnaire, tease out and review the issues identified, run through analyses of scenarios from different shades of a deal to no-deal, and prepare an outline strategy to deal with them. At the end of the workshop we produce a tailored report which identifies weaknesses and gaps in the client’s Brexit preparedness with recommendations on how to address them and how to capitalise on any strengths uncovered.

The Grant Thornton all-island Brexit Advisory Team is able to bring a unique dual perspective to the Brexit issue.
