Last October we officially launched our EMBRACE programme. Diversity and Inclusion is at the heart of our culture, our interaction with our clients and the external market. This includes diversity of people, diversity of thought and diversity of leadership. We are passionate about drawing upon our people’s unique differences to enhance the way we do business. Our EMBRACE programme is designed to ensure that every member of staff feels their individuality is appreciated and that they can bring their “whole” selves to work.

Through our ‘EMBRACE’ programme we run many exciting events and initiatives designed to celebrate all aspects of diversity including:

  • Multi-cultural
  • Generational
  • Disability
  • LGBT
  • Family/working parents; and
  • Gender.

Together with this it gives me great pleasure to announce that for the first time in the firm’s history, Grant Thornton Ireland will take part in the Dublin Pride Parade celebrations.

This year I will be leading the team front and centre behind the Grant Thornton banner and supporting my LGBT colleagues. As a firm we pride ourselves on having an environment that is inclusive and ensuring that each and every one of our people feels they can be their full selves at work. This is something that I personally feel extremely strongly about.

I am looking forward to joining forces with all the companies who will be taking part in the day’s activities and together we can celebrate this great and meaningful day.
