We have raised much needed funds and have donated time and resources to a number of charities in our community including: Ability West, Action Cancer, An Bru Columbanus and the blood donation clinic, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Barrestown Children Charity, Bethany House (For Women), Brothers of Charity, Cancer Care West Cork, Cope,  Simon Community, East Belfast Mission, Enable Ireland, Inspire Wellbeing, Irish Cancer Society, Irish Heart Foundation, Irish Wheelchair association, LauraLynn, Longford Tidy Towns, McAuley Place - Naas, McMillian Cancer, Milford Hospice, Newbridge First Responders, Newbridge Hockey Club, North Kildare Alzheimer’s Association, Novas Initiatives, Oxfam, Rainbows – The Ross Carr Foundation, Redemptorists Limerick, Simon Community, St. Christopher’s services, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Gabriel’s School & Centre, Temple Street Children’s Hospital and The Prince’s Trust

Some of the activities we carried out in 2017 included:

  • a Christmas Jumper day & Christmas hamper appeal for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie Christmas Event. Our team helped pack over 250 Christmas food hampers for families assisted by charity. We provided a Christmas gift pack to families through staff contributions. These gift packs were aimed at including the entire family for those who had children so sick that they were unable to travel to the Christmas party;
  • we undertook fundraising for;
  • volunteered to help at three secure residential homes which look after people suffering from mental illness;
  • attended schools to give both Transition Year and Leaving cert students help with what subjects to choose for the Leaving certificate and what it takes to become an accountant;
  • cleaned and painted festive window art for LauraLynn Children’s Hospice;
  • raised funds used to create a multi-sensory room in a residential unit; and
  • sponsored hike in aid of Simon Community.
