A Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) is a notice that is received by a landowner. It refers to the compulsory purchase of land to allow a public infrastructure project to be completed for the public budget e.g. lands acquired by NRA for construction of public roads. CPO's are normally made in order that road improvement schemes can occur or public transport systems can be created or upgraded, e.g., construction of a LUAS line.
What do I do?
If you have been served with a CPO you will be entitled to compensation for the purchase of your lands. Generally, this can be quite a significant windfall and independent financial advice in relation to the appropriate investment of these funds is crucial.
We have significant experience in the provision of advisory services in relation to the investment of such funds. We are totally independent of all product providers and therefore you can rest assured that the advice we provide you with is appropriate to your circumstances and the investment wishes you have expressed.
