Experience
Patrick joined the firm in 2005 and advises on acquisitions, disposals and fund raisings. His main area of expertise is transaction advisory services. He has advised a wide range of clients on acquisitions including due diligence reviews. Patrick has also worked on a number of recovery and reorganisation assignments including liquidations, receiverships and examinerships.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Patrick was an audit senior in the industrial commercial technology department of a Big Four firm. During this time he gained exposure to a broad mix of industries and clients, ranging from privately owned to listed international companies. He also spent three months working with a Big Four firm in Sydney.
Sector experience
Patrick has in-depth knowledge of the construction and food industries in Ireland, the U.K. and mainland Europe having led a number of due diligence assignments.
His recovery and reorganisation sector experience includes construction/development and software. He has been involved in the successful sale of a number of businesses in a liquidation situation.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Patrick is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin.
