Experience
Dara joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and advises on acquisitions, disposals, and fund raising. He has significant experience in the provision of transaction advisory services and has advised a wide range of clients on acquisitions including due diligence reviews. Dara has also worked on a number of recovery and reorganisation assignments including liquidations, receiverships and examinerships.

Sector experience
During his training Dara worked in the audit team where he gained exposure to a broad mix of industries and clients, ranging from privately owned to listed international companies. He has gained significant insight into the construction and food industries in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe having led a number of due diligence assignments in this area.

Dara’s recovery and reorganisation experience includes assignments in the licensed premises, construction/building suppliers and manufacturing sectors.

Professional qualifications and memberships
Dara is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI). He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from University College Dublin.
