Experience
Kathleen joined the firm in 2003 as an audit senior. She progressed from audit senior to audit manager in 2004 and to director in 2007.
Kathleen has over ten years audit experience and has recently been appointed director of our pension audit specialist group. She is in charge of the firm’s pension audit specialist group, an experienced team of sectoral experts, specialising in offering audit and assurance services to occupational pension schemes.
Sector experience
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Kathleen trained with a Big Four firm and following qualification joined an Irish family owned company specialising in importing and distributing fruit and vegetables.
Kathleen currently manages a large portfolio of pension scheme clients which incorporate both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes of varied sizes.
Prior to joining the pension’s team, she had responsibility for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients, including small owner managed companies, large retail clients, large privately owned groups, subsidiaries of quoted companies and an AIM listed company. She has extensive knowledge of Irish /UK GAAP, IFRS and company law.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Kathleen is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI). She holds a Bachelor degree (BA) in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University (DCU).
