Experience
Paul qualified with the firm in 1986 and was appointed to partnership in 1990 having spent a year in Grant Thornton’s office in Brussels.

In 1997 Paul moved from business advisory to head-up the firm's Corporate Services section. He served as Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Ireland from February 2003 until January 2012. 

He also served on Grant Thornton International’s Board of Governors from October 2006 until December 2011, and in January 2012 he joined Grant Thornton International’s Global Leadership Team.

Sector experience
He has advised a number of Irish Venture Capital Funds and provided corporate finance advice to both publicly quoted and private companies, on domestic and international assignments.

He has also advised a number of professional service firms and trade organisations on strategy and organisational structures, and has facilitated a number of mergers in these areas.

Professional qualifications and memberships
Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, and is a Member of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Institute of Management Consultants in Ireland.

He completed an M.Sc. in Management through Trinity College Dublin and is also a Qualified Financial Advisor.
