Experience
Paul is a member of the corporate finance and restructuring team and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, turnaround services, management buy outs and restructuring.
Paul became a partner in 2001 and has concentrated on providing lead advisory and restructuring services to companies, venture capitalists and financial institutions.
Paul has particular expertise in advising companies in the food, retail, financial services, construction and the building materials sectors.
Sector experience
Paul's corporate finance and restructuring experience includes:
- adviser to Kingspan Group Plc. on all key European acquisitions;
- adviser to Keelings on all significant transactions in the food sector;
- creating exit strategies for property development companies with over €300 million of debt;
- providing advice to AIB, Bank of Ireland, Anglo Irish Bank, Bank of Scotland (Ireland), Ford Financial and Ulster Bank on work out solutions;
- appointed examiner to O'Brien's Sandwich Bars; and
- appointed receiver our part of the Zoe Group.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Paul is a chartered accountant and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He holds an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Queens University, Belfast and a BSc in Management from Trinity College Dublin. Paul also holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, University College Dublin.
