Experience
Michael joined the firm in 1999 as partner responsible for recovery and reorganisation. He specialises in insolvency and corporate recovery.
Sector experience
Over the last ten years Michael has been appointed as liquidator to hundreds of companies. He has acted for various financial institutions in both informal restructurings and as receiver in formal appointments.
He has also been appointed examiner to a number of high profile companies including Lynch Hotel Group, Toni & Guy (Ireland) Limited, Golden Discs Limited and Murray rent a car trading as Sixt. These companies successfully exited the examinership process.
While these appointments have been across many industry types he has developed in-depth technical and practical experience in the retail, leisure, construction, and IT sectors.
Professional qualifications and memberships
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
